Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents—help with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, communicating clearly with nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to keep residents and yourself safe
• Take and record vital signs and input accurate documentation in a timely manner
• Support mealtime and feeding needs, including assisting with special diets and meal setup
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents, following infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication and attention

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Valid state certification or eligibility to obtain Pennsylvania CNA certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment
• Clear background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work collaboratively on a care team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and knowledge of ADLs (activities of daily living)
• Familiarity with infection control and basic safety protocols
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Empathy, patience, and attention to detail when providing hands-on care
