Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility needs safely
Support nursing staff with basic clinical tasks and clear documentation
Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
Alabama CNA certification or eligibility to work in Alabama (preferred)
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

Completion of an accredited CNA training program
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Competence in basic patient care and personal hygiene support
Skill in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
Good verbal communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable with charting and following care plans
