Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $13 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Provide compassionate, person-centered care that preserves dignity and comfort
Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Document care and observations clearly and in a timely manner
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Comfortable working a 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Compassionate attitude and strong communication skills with residents and team members
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as required using safe techniques
Willingness to complete facility onboarding requirements (background check, health screening, immunizations) per facility policy

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Ability to take and record vital signs and recognize changes
Familiarity with safe transfer and lifting techniques
Strong observational and documentation skills
Teamwork, time management, and the ability to follow care plans
Understanding of infection prevention and basic safety protocols
