Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess emergency patients rapidly and accurately using ESI guidelines
• Provide high-acuity nursing care including airway management and critical interventions
• Perform IV insertion, medication administration, EKG acquisition and interpretation
• Assist with intubation, rapid sequence intubation and code response when needed
• Deliver trauma, STEMI, stroke and sepsis care according to protocol and best practice
• Document patient care clearly and promptly in Meditech and support smooth care transitions
• Coordinate transport and preparation for higher levels of care when required
• Practice infection control and isolation protocols to keep patients and staff safe

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — RN title required for the role
• Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred
• ENPC and CPI certifications listed as required/preferred
• Strong triage, critical thinking and trauma/cardiac/acute care experience
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and cover scheduled weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Department nursing and triage expertise
• Airway management, intubation and CPR/code response skills
• IV therapy, medication administration and moderate sedation support
• EKG interpretation and cardiac/STEMI care
• Care of stroke, sepsis, trauma and behavioral health patients
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Infection control, isolation protocols and rapid reassessment in fast-paced environments
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus for patient communication
