Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures including open heart and orthopedic surgeries
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field in a busy OR department
• Anticipate surgeon's needs and ensure all instruments and supplies are ready
• Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Take on-call shifts as required to support emergency surgeries

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent OR experience in a busy hospital setting
• Current BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• EPIC experience required
• Willingness to take on-call shifts including nights and weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile technique
• Proficient in EPIC documentation system
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume OR
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing surgical schedules
