Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student communication needs
• Deliver individualized speech and language therapy across K-12 settings
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals that drive measurable progress
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation and progress notes
• Provide consultation and classroom-based support to integrate therapy into learning
• Travel between district sites as needed to ensure students receive services

Qualifications

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA CCCs) required
• Colorado SLP license required or willingness to obtain license before start date
• Experience working with K-12 students or school-based SLP experience preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel between district sites during the school day
• Provide 3 professional references (2 supervisory) as part of the application

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field (typical requirement for ASHA CCCs)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and intervention for articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
• Familiarity with IEP development and special education processes
• Strong classroom collaboration and consultative skills
• Caseload management, progress monitoring, and documentation best practices
• Effective family communication and culturally responsive care
