Speech-Language Pathologist – UHC Staffing

Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Buhler, KS

Contract Type: Perm

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift) — 30 hours/week, No weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 30

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patients' communication and swallowing abilities using evidence-based tools
Develop individualized treatment plans that make measurable progress
Deliver person-centered therapy with clear goals and compassionate care
Document evaluations and treatment progress clearly and on time
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care
Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover and safety
Participate in program development and quality-improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent (see Education)
Active Kansas SLP license or eligibility to obtain state licensure
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Comfort with clinical documentation and basic electronic health record systems
Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
Previous experience in rehab, medical, or related settings is a plus

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MS, MA, or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and outcome measurement
Ability to create clear, measurable treatment goals and progress notes
Strong collaboration skills for working with nurses, PT/OT, and other clinicians
Experience with patient and family education and discharge planning
