Location: Des Moines, IA

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, rotating weekends and holidays, with float to West Des Moines campus

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a med/surg/telemetry unit
Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning
Float to West Des Moines campus as needed to support staffing

Qualifications

Current RN license in the state of Iowa (or compact license)
At least 1 year of recent med/surg/telemetry experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to float between campuses
Must pass a 10-panel drug screen, background check, and health requirements

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for telemetry monitoring
Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with EHR systems and documentation
