Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients in a fast‑paced telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding promptly to changes in patient status
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families on condition management and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience in Med/Surg or telemetry settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts on a rotating every‑other‑week schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Patient safety and infection control practices
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Electronic health record documentation
