Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced ED environment
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to create care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking and ability to stay calm under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing: trauma, cardiac, pediatric, and stroke care
• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting
