Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate cardiac nursing care to patients in the cardiac unit
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop care plans
• Float between Mercy Main and West Des Moines to support staffing needs
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS certifications required
• Experience in cardiac nursing preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac nursing knowledge
• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Medication administration
• Use of cardiac monitoring equipment
• Competency in BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS
