Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Monitor patient hemodynamics and vital signs during procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
• Assist cardiologists with catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Administer medications and contrast as ordered, monitoring for adverse reactions
• Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure care and recovery
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Indiana (or compact state)
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required
• Experience in cardiac cath lab or critical care preferred
• Ability to take call and respond promptly

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Knowledge of catheterization lab equipment and sterile technique
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
