Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery
• Monitor telemetry, hemodynamic status, and post-operative vitals with precision
• Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and compassionately
• Educate patients and families on recovery milestones and cardiac health
• Document patient progress clearly and communicate changes to the care team

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license (License/Certificate Verification required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass Trinity 10-Panel Drug Screen and meet health history requirements
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity cardiac care
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced surgical unit
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and medication administration
• Empathy and patience when supporting patients and families through surgery recovery
