Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate care to critically ill pediatric patients in our PICU
• Closely monitor vital signs, ventilators, and complex medication drips
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to create and adjust care plans
• Support and educate families, keeping them informed and involved in their child's care
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and emergencies
• Document assessments and interventions accurately and efficiently

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Previous experience in pediatric critical care, ICU, or emergency nursing is a plus
• Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced, high-acuity situations

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfort with ventilators, central lines, and vasoactive medications
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Empathy and a family-centered approach to care
• Adaptability and quick decision-making in dynamic environments
