Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for pediatric surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment
• Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs and handling instruments and supplies
• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to pediatric patients before, during, and after surgery
• Monitor patient vitals and respond quickly to changes during procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional outcomes
• Document intraoperative care accurately and maintain compliance with safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or a compact state
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• Pediatric operating room experience is a plus, but passionate nurses ready to grow are welcome
• Ability to work as needed and adapt to a fast-paced OR environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Understanding of pediatric surgical equipment and instrumentation
• Familiarity with patient assessment and monitoring
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
