Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care during cardiovascular, vascular, and robotic surgical cases
• Assist in a variety of procedures including CABG, endovascular AAA, ECMO, and robotic esophagectomy
• Collaborate closely with surgeons and the OR team to maintain patient safety
• Take call on a rotating schedule to ensure 24/7 surgical coverage
• Adapt to changing case loads and float within the Surgery Department only
• Use advanced equipment such as Da Vinci robots and hybrid room technologies

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Must have cardiovascular (CV) experience and the ability to perform vascular and robotic cases
• Willingness to take call, including one weekday and one weekend per month
• CNOR certification preferred but not required
• At least 1 year of OR nursing experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in CV and vascular surgery nursing
• Proficiency with robotic surgery platforms (e.g., Da Vinci)
• Knowledge of OR equipment and sterile technique
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to handle various surgical specialties including ortho, ENT, gyn, and general
