Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned patients
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status, escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document according to facility policy
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to create and execute care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic charting and shift handoffs
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge instructions
• Support a positive unit culture through teamwork, communication, and mentorship

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license (North Carolina) — LPN applicants welcome where applicable
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS as applicable to unit
• Prior acute care or long-term care nursing experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Ability to pass facility onboarding, background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Wound care, basic IV therapy and monitoring (as applicable)
• Time management, delegation, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and clear communication with families and care teams
