Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced medical/surgical unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor patient vitals and report changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families about care plans and post‑discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit meetings

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical/surgical setting
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems
• Knowledge of medical/surgical nursing protocols
• Medication administration and safety
• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Infection control practices
