Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to laboring mothers and newborns
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor fetal well-being
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe deliveries
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn care
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility protocols

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Labor & Delivery or similar acute care setting
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varied shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Fetal heart rate interpretation
• Neonatal resuscitation
• Maternal and fetal medication administration
• Use of electronic medical records
