Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients on a medical-surgical unit
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for children with a variety of medical conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, responding quickly to changes
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Advocate for the unique needs of pediatric patients and their families

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• PALS certification preferred
• Previous pediatric or med/surg nursing experience is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate warmly and effectively with children and families
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to care
