Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients on a general medicine unit
• Monitor patient conditions, including vitals, labs, and overall status, and respond promptly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed while maintaining safety standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Illinois
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous medical-surgical nursing experience is strongly preferred
• Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• All required health screenings and immunizations up to date, including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, and 2-Step PPD/IGRA

• Proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation
• Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
