Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care in collaboration with families, following ANA standards
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Deliver nursing interventions and monitor effectiveness through ongoing evaluation
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret findings to guide care decisions
• Support patients throughout labor, delivery, and antepartum care with skilled clinical judgment
• Document care accurately and complete required competency exams and checklists
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality maternal-newborn outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Rhode Island RN license required
• Minimum 2+ years of LDR or Antepartum clinical experience
• Fetal monitoring experience required; C-EFM preferred
• Current BLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required
• Current CPR and any specialty-specific certifications required
• English proficiency required
• COVID-19 vaccination and other occupational health requirements (MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Fit Test, TB screening, Varicella, Tdap) as listed

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Skilled in fetal monitoring and maternal-fetal assessment
• Experience with LDR and Antepartum clinical workflows
• Strong critical thinking and communication with patients and families
• Competency with unit-based documentation and competency exams
• Ability to adapt in a float role between ACU and LDR
