Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional critical care to ICU patients in trauma, burn and surgical populations
• Monitor and manage advanced critical care equipment, including ventilators and invasive devices
• Perform wound care and manage EVDs, massive transfusion protocols (MTP), and emergency codes when needed
• Administer medications and IV therapies accurately and document care in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Prioritize patient safety with effective communication, clinical judgment and timely interventions
• Support unit staffing and float between MSICU/CVICU/Neuro ICU/PCU as patient needs require

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience (trauma, burn or surgical ICU preferred)
• Comfortable with a 2:1 ICU patient ratio and high-acuity caseloads
• Experience with Meditech EMR is highly desirable
• BSN preferred; CCRN strongly preferred but not mandatory
• Team-player attitude with strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Willingness to work rotating night schedule and meet weekend coverage requirements

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles for trauma, burn and surgical patients
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record system
• Wound care techniques and EVD management
• Familiarity with massive transfusion protocol (MTP) and code response
• Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment and effective communication
• Comfort managing critical care equipment and complex patient monitoring
