Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and assess patient status continuously
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate and support patients and their families during challenging times
• Document patient care accurately and maintain electronic health records
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification preferred or required depending on facility policy
• Previous critical care or ICU nursing experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working flexible per diem shifts, including weekends and nights as needed
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and interpretation
• Strong medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Comfort with electronic health records and charting
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
