Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor and assess patient status, including vital signs, lab results, and response to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Educate and support patients and their families during challenging times
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Virginia or compact state
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• Previous ICU nursing experience preferred
• Ability to think critically and act quickly in high-pressure situations

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in telemetry and ventilator management
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation
