Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver gentle, kid-friendly dental cleanings to pediatric patients
• Take dental X-rays and ensure proper positioning for children
• Provide oral hygiene education to children and their families
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect young smiles
• Document treatment and maintain accurate patient charts
• Assist the dentist with pediatric procedures and ensure patient comfort

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Dental Hygienist license
• Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience working with children preferred
• Patience and a positive attitude when working with young patients
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail

Education

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene
• Active Maryland dental hygiene license

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and patient education
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with dental software for charting and scheduling
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with pediatric patients and parents
