Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to help patients maintain optimal oral health
• Assess patient oral health and document findings accurately
• Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and preventive care techniques
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
• Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants when needed
• Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure patient comfort
• Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment rooms between patients

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Dental Hygienist license (required)
• Current CPR certification (required)
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• A caring, empathetic approach with patients of all ages
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing
• Familiarity with dental radiography and safety protocols
• Knowledge of dental charting and patient records
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
• Ability to work a 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM shift
