Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures and ensure patient comfort
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatory rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Support the team with daily operations and inventory management

Qualifications

• Active dental assistant license or registration in Maryland
• X-ray certification (RDA or equivalent)
• Experience in orthodontic assisting preferred
• CPR/BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Proficiency in dental software and digital imaging
• Sterilization and infection control standards
• Patient care and chairside manner
• Teamwork and collaboration
