Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral prophylaxes for patients
• Take and interpret dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis
• Document patient health histories and update dental records
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventative materials
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Experience is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply!

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Knowledge of dental radiography and safety protocols
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control
