Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients with urgent but non-life-threatening conditions
• Perform comprehensive assessments and triage patients based on acuity
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Assist providers with procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain patient confidentiality
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS are a plus
• Previous urgent care, emergency, or ambulatory care experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and triage skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a per diem basis
• Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of urgent care protocols and procedures
• Proficient in documenting within electronic medical records
• Team-oriented with a flexible and adaptable approach
