Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced ED environment
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform advanced life support as needed
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective care plans
• Support inpatient hold patients when the ED is at capacity
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure seamless handoffs

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Connecticut or compact state
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
• At least 1 year of emergency room experience strongly preferred
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of emergency nursing principles and practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, triage, and prioritization
• Knowledge of emergency medications, treatments, and protocols
• Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Able to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and acuity levels
