Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Perform rapid assessments and triage to prioritize care
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop care plans
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changing conditions
• Document patient information accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with hospital policies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
• Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with critical patients
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency nursing procedures and protocols
• Proficient in patient triage and prioritization
• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and life support techniques
• Skilled in wound care, IV insertion, and medication administration
• Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure
