Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals in the Behavioral Health Unit
• Monitor patient vital signs, behaviors, and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
• Document patient care accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable to the unit
• Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or attestation of vaccination/declination
• Completion of required health screenings and drug screening
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of behavioral health nursing principles and practices
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Patient advocacy and empathy
