Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients
• Assist the surgical team during procedures while maintaining a sterile environment
• Monitor patient vitals and responses throughout surgery
• Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies and equipment
• Educate and reassure patients and families before and after procedures
• Document intraoperative care accurately and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience in OR/perioperative nursing, especially with pediatric patients
• Ability to scrub and circulate preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in fast-paced settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance
• Pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Familiarity with OR documentation and safety protocols
