Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery
• Assess vital signs, manage pain, and provide post-operative care
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing team

Qualifications

• Active Rhode Island RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts including call

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of PACU nursing standards and protocols
• Skilled in patient monitoring and pain management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
• Proficiency in electronic health records
