Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare patients for treatment and provide comfort and reassurance
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
• Maintain a clean and sterilized environment to uphold safety standards
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Manage patient records and documentation accurately

Qualifications

• Current dental assistant certification or completion of an accredited program
• Valid X-ray certification as required by Maryland state regulations
• Previous experience in orthodontics is a plus
• CPR certification and knowledge of infection control protocols
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency with dental practice management software, such as Denticon
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
