Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient exams and treatment procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Provide a warm, reassuring experience for every patient

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Dental Assistant certification or registration (RDA/CDA)
• Radiography/X-ray certification per Maryland state requirements
• Prior orthodontic assisting experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Availability to work evening shifts from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM
• Current CPR/BLS certification is recommended

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of orthodontic procedures and dental terminology
• Comfortable using dental software and digital charting
• Skilled in sterilization and infection control best practices
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
