Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare patients for treatment and help them feel at ease from start to finish
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans as needed

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training preferred
• Maryland radiography/X-ray certification (or able to obtain)
• Experience in orthodontic assisting is a big plus
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Genuine passion for patient care and a positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, materials, and terminology
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members
• Strong attention to detail in clinical and administrative tasks
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative spirit
