Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for orthodontic procedures and ensure their comfort
• Assist the orthodontist during exams, adjustments, and treatments
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes

Qualifications

• Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) or willing to obtain
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with orthodontic equipment and procedures
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in dental assisting techniques and infection control
• Knowledge of orthodontic terms, instruments, and materials
• Familiarity with dental software for scheduling and charting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
