Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and patient education to promote oral health
• Assist in developing patient-specific hygiene plans and treatment recommendations
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
• Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Dental Hygiene license in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work per diem shifts as needed

Education

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance
• Experience with digital X-rays and dental software
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
• Comfortable educating patients on oral hygiene techniques
