Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures, including brace fittings and adjustments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and appointment scheduling
• Ensure a comfortable and positive experience for every patient

Qualifications

• Valid Dental Assistant certification or licensure in Maryland
• Previous orthodontic experience preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• CPR certification required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Proficient in dental software for scheduling and records
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team
