Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during all procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for each patient
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and appliance care
• Coordinate with the dental team to optimize patient comfort and care

Qualifications

• Orthodontic Dental Assistant certification required
• MD license or equivalent state licensure
• Experience in orthodontic procedures and patient care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthodontic treatment planning
• Proficiency with orthodontic instruments and appliances
• Sterilization and infection control protocols
• Electronic health record (EHR) usage
• Patient education and counseling
