Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with patient examinations and treatment planning
• Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and materials
• Educate patients on appliance care and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting
• Coordinate with lab technicians for appliance fabrication
• Provide support during orthodontic procedures and adjustments

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification required
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a dental assistant in orthodontics preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthodontic appliance handling
• Sterilization and infection control
• Patient education and counseling
• Charting and record keeping
• Dental software proficiency
