Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during patient exams and procedures, including bonding, debonding, and wire adjustments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following infection control protocols
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification in Maryland (or eligibility)
• Orthodontic certification required
• CPR certification (BLS) required
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Proficient in taking digital X-rays and using dental software
• Sterilization and infection control best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and team
