Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized care to late preterm infants and newborns with health issues in a Level 1B NICU
• Monitor vital signs and administer treatments including oxygen therapy, IV fluids, and phototherapy
• Support infants exposed to opioids in utero using the Eat, Sleep, Console (ESC) approach
• Manage transient tachypnea (TTN) and assist with respiratory support including high-flow nasal cannula
• Stabilize blood sugar levels and provide developmental care in a nurturing environment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our tiniest patients

Qualifications

• 2+ years of current NICU experience required (Level 1B or higher)
• Active Massachusetts RN license
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Experience with Meditech Expanse highly preferred
• Must have own vehicle for commuting
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in neonatal care including ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) methodology
• Skill in managing TTN (Transient Tachypnea) and blood sugar stabilization
• Proficiency in respiratory support and high-flow nasal cannula
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
