Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure resident safety and comfort
• Take and record vital signs, and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Support residents during meals and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for each resident
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver personalized care plans

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience a plus
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a positive attitude
• Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team members

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of resident rights and person-centered care
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Skill in taking vital signs and observing changes in condition
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents using proper body mechanics
