Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Ensure a comfortable and positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification in Maryland (or eligible)
• Certification in Dental Radiology (x-ray) preferred
• Experience in orthodontic assisting is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control
• Proficiency in taking and processing digital x-rays
• Familiarity with orthodontic terminology and procedures
• Skill in using dental software for patient management
• Time management and multitasking abilities
