Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during patient procedures, ensuring comfort and high-quality care
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, set up treatment rooms, and maintain infection control standards
• Take and develop dental x-rays, photos, and impressions as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, brace care, and treatment plans
• Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth, efficient clinic experience
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Dental Assistant (CDA or RDA) preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, materials, and procedures
• Proficiency in taking impressions, x-rays, and using dental software
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
