Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional orthodontic care to patients of all ages
• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including placing and removing braces and wires
• Take and develop dental x-rays and impressions
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes

Qualifications

• Valid Orthodontic Certification required
• Current Maryland Dental Assistant license or registration
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in orthodontic procedures and equipment
• Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Attention to detail and infection control practices
• Familiarity with dental software and digital charting
