Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during exams, procedures, and adjustments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays and impressions
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Provide exceptional patient support and comfort throughout visits

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification (CDA or equivalent) in Maryland
• X-ray certification required (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in orthodontic assisting preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Compassionate patient care focus
• Attention to infection control and safety standards
